I am a Dorset-based jeweller, working from a small studio at home and selling through various galleries and exhibitions.

My designs are informed by many things in my life, and often stem from a general sense of what feels "right", but I love texture and pattern and this characterises my work - particularly in the etching that I use in most of my pieces.

Each item is entirely handmade employing traditional jewellery bench skills.  I work largely in sterling silver and enjoy adding semi-precious stones and highlights in gold, creating contemporary designs that are functional, easy to wear and highly individual.

Many of the items shown here are one-off pieces (particularly the rings and earrings) so do contact me if you would like more information, or want to commission something similar.

Fifty Dorset Makers is a fantastic book which documents some of the county's very talented craftspeople.  Please let me know if you would like to purchase a copy at £10, email : catherine.ctsilver@live.co.uk
